Some people pass through your life and you hardly notice when they're gone. Then one day you bump into them on Facebook and suddenly remember they sat in front of you in 11th grade History class. And then there are those people who are in your life for a greater reason. They're the kind that "leave a mark" on you....in a good way. They become a part of making you who you are today. they were a part of the "chiseling process". God's little Michaelangelo's, if you will.
I've had lots of those people in my life. Big brothers. Mentors. Teachers. Disciplers. Models. Heroes. Counselors. Friends. They have rounded my rough edges. Corrected me when I was wrong or off course. Encouraged me when I felt hopeless. Directed me when I was lost. Cheered me on as I ran.
Their names are unfamiliar to you. And they are too many to name. They are enshrined in my personal Hall of Fame.
And they cast a long shadow.
You got anybody like that in your life?
